Collaborations
Rising Gems for Coutts London Jewellery Week
Coutts London Jewellery Week 2009 saw the launch of an exciting collaboration between ten of London’s most innovative and directional young jewellery designers that united to form the aptly named, ‘Rising Gems’. The ‘Rising Gems’ group included, SHO Fine Jewellery, Missoma, Ana De Costa, Assya, Francesca Sibylla Augusta FSA, Ornella Iannuzzi, Sabine Roemer, Leblas , Annina Vogel and Carla Shanks.
The ten designers collaborated on a very special, one-off collection sponsored by Swarovski Gems. Each designer created a piece of jewellery inspired by UK conservation charity the World Land Trust, who fight to protect critically endangered habitats and species around the world.
SHO created the Attenborough Flower Ring inspired by the flowers of the newly discovered tree found in Ecuador and named after patron of the World Land Trust, Sir David Attenborough in honour of his lifetime commitment to conservation. This tree is not only new to science but also incredibly rare, it produces delicate flowers which are uniquely beautiful and perfectly formed.
The ring was made from rose gold plating, brushed sterling silver with central Blazing Red pear Passion Topaz and pavé set deep Violet Amethyst and Blazing Red Passion topaz.
